These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Cookie's apps, websites, AI cooking assistant, pantry tools, recipe features, subscriptions, support channels, and related services.
By creating an account, downloading the app, subscribing, or using Cookie, you agree to these Terms. If you use Cookie on behalf of a household, company, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use Cookie.
Additional terms may apply to certain features, beta programs, promotions, app stores, payment processors, or third-party services. If additional terms conflict with these Terms for a specific feature, the feature-specific terms control for that feature.
You may need an account to use some features. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain account security, and promptly update information when it changes. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity results from Cookie's failure to use reasonable security measures.
Cookie supports email sign-up, Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. You must comply with the terms of any authentication provider you use. Do not share account credentials, bypass authentication, or allow unauthorized access.
You must be old enough to use online services in your jurisdiction. If you are under the applicable age, you may use Cookie only with consent and supervision from a parent or guardian where permitted by law.
Cookie provides home cooking tools that may include personalized recommendations, dynamic home-screen suggestions, pantry inventory, expiry tracking, recipe scaling, macros, cooking steps, hands-free cooking support, Ask Cookie conversations, ingredient substitutions, cooking techniques, and related features.
Features may change over time. Future features may include shopping lists, household collaboration, community recipes, restaurant recreation, smart kitchen integrations, native language cooking instructions, weekly meal planning, AI meal generation, voice-capable guidance, and premium subscriptions.
We may add, remove, suspend, limit, or modify features for product, legal, safety, security, technical, or business reasons. We will not materially reduce paid features during an active paid term without providing any remedy required by applicable law or platform rules.
Cookie uses proprietary AI systems and third-party AI models.
The app performs personalization locally using our proprietary recommendation system and vector database. User profile information such as dietary preferences, allergies, and cuisine preferences is processed solely to personalize recommendations within the app.
When the app interacts with the AI service, it does not transmit personally identifiable information, account information, or user profile records. Specifically, names, email addresses, user identifiers, and profile data are never shared with the AI provider.
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, outdated, unsuitable for allergies, or inconsistent with your circumstances. You are responsible for checking ingredients, labels, appliances, food safety guidance, nutrition needs, and final cooking decisions.
No medical or nutrition diagnosis: Cookie does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage disease. It is not a healthcare provider, nutrition diagnosis service, weight-loss program, or substitute for professional advice.
Macros, calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates, serving sizes, substitutions, difficulty, and cooking times are estimates. They may vary by ingredient, brand, portion, preparation method, appliance, and data source. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, pregnancy-related needs, or other sensitive requirements, consult appropriate professionals and verify all food information independently.
Some Cookie features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices, billing periods, trial terms, taxes, renewal dates, cancellation rules, and refund availability are shown at checkout or in the relevant app store or payment flow.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. If you subscribe through an app store, cancellation and refund requests may need to be handled through that app store. Deleting the Cookie app or account may not cancel a subscription managed by Apple, Google, or another payment platform.
We may change prices or subscription features prospectively. We will provide notice where required. If you do not agree to a price change, cancel before the change takes effect.
You may provide pantry entries, preferences, prompts, ratings, feedback, recipe notes, images, comments, or other content. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant Cookie a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, reproduce, modify, and use it to provide, secure, improve, and support Cookie.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not violate law, infringe rights, expose private information without permission, or create safety risks. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, or law.
Cookie, including our software, design, recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, embeddings, vector database, brand elements, documentation, and content we provide, is owned by Cookie or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, Cookie grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for home cooking and related personal purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from Cookie except as permitted by law or written permission.
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In short, do not use Cookie to break the law, harm others, abuse systems, reverse engineer the service, spam, exploit AI features, misrepresent identity, upload infringing content, or interfere with security.
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warnings, content removal, feature limits, account suspension, account termination, or legal action.
Cookie may depend on authentication providers, app stores, payment processors, AI providers, analytics tools, push notification services, crash reporting tools, customer support platforms, cloud hosting, monitoring, logging, fraud prevention, and infrastructure providers. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies when you interact with them directly.
Cookie is not responsible for third-party services, recipe sources, app stores, device platforms, or websites that we do not control.
You may stop using Cookie at any time. You may request deletion of your account as described in our Data Deletion Policy.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, harmed users or Cookie, failed to pay amounts owed, or used the service in a way that could cause operational harm. We will provide notice where required and where doing so would not create risk.
Cookie is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that Cookie will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, always accurate, or suitable for every recipe, ingredient, allergy, medical condition, device, appliance, or region.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cookie and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, or substitute services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cookie's aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Cookie for the service in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. This limit does not apply where law prohibits it, including liability that cannot be excluded for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@cookie.kitchen and try to resolve the issue informally. We will do the same where practical.
Unless mandatory local law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Cookie legal entity that provides the service to you is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
If a separate order form, enterprise agreement, or app-store term specifies a governing law or dispute process, that term controls for the covered relationship.
